Niagara Tropics is a family owned organization, and has established this privacy policy to convey how your information is protected, collected and used, which may be updated by Niagara Tropics without notice.
1. Protecting your Privacy
- We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- We do not engage in cross-marketing or link-referral programs with other sites.
- We do not employ tracking devices without your consent for marketing purposes ("cookies", "web beacons," single-pixel gifs). We depend on Google analytics to make site improvements for our customer base.
2. Data we collect
- If requested, we sometimes collect your email address, for purposes such as sending self-publishing and confirmation emails, providing subscription email services, etc
- We sometimes collect your phone number for your order details.
- We may collect personal information if you provide it in feedback or comments, or if you contact us directly. Please do not post any personal information on Niagara Tropics Social Media, or forums or classifieds that you expect to keep private.
3. Data we store
- All advertisements and posts are stored in our Google database, even after "deletion," and may be archived elsewhere.
- Our web logs and other records are stored indefinitely.
- We do not have a user registration page, nor do we ask for account information.
- We do not have an online payment store, therefore we do not collect payment sources.
4. Archiving and display of Niagara Tropics listings by search engines and other sites
- Search engines and other sites not affiliated with Niagara Tropics - including archive.org, google.com, and yahoo.com – may archive or otherwise make available Niagara Tropics listings
5. Circumstances in which Niagara Tropics may release information
- Niagara Tropics may disclose information about its users if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process.
- Niagara Tropics may also disclose information about its users to law enforcement officers or others, in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: enforce our Terms of Use; respond to claims that any posting or other content violates the rights of third-parties; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Niagara Tropics members, its users or the general public.
7. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
Niagara Tropics adheres to The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which requires parental consent for collecting personal information from children under 13 in the USA. There is no such law in Canada however the Privacy Commissioner has issued guidelines that are similar to COPPA, but they are not enforceable by Canadian law.
